Debra LeAmone was born into a family of musicians in West Virginia. She moved to Santa Monica, California at the age of 18, where she lived and worked in a print shop for 7 years. After a short move to Oregon, she moved back to the East Coast. First she went to North Carolina to stay with her mom and stepfather, second she went back to West Virginia, and finally she moved to Tampa, Florida, where she lives with her husband and 3 dogs.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of South Florida in Elementary Education, she currently teaches 3rd Grade at a local school. Her hobby of painting wall murals has recently become a second job, with her work show-cased in St. Augustine and Tampa. Writing is her lifelong passion and this book is a dream come true.
